I have just been accepted as a "Helping Artist" for DecoArt. I am a happy camper! I am promising to push myself more in 2013. I would like to give special thanks to Beth Wagner for pushing me forward.

Welcome Baby Ashlyn

A friend of my daughters just had a baby, I had seen something similar out there in the blogging world. I just had to make this! I used chalks for the colors I have never used them before they were great to use. I look forward to using them again.

I have been playing with a technique of tissue paper and mod podge on a canvas. It gives tons of texture to the canvas and you paint on top of it. I am really enjoying this and it is all my idea not borrowed. That makes it that much more fun for me!

I Heart ART!

Sounds silly huh? I Heart Art! But I dooo. I have recently taken a new space to do my art. One daughter is married a son at school... I still have two at home ;) BUT I have a SPACE woohoooooo. And I am lovin' my space!! It is amazing how much free'er one feels when you can just get up and leave your mess and not have to put itall away immedietly to get dinner done or to set the table etc. I feel spoiled that I am having this opportunity, well... not too much! This is a fun piece that I did and made a little abstract. I painted some modpodge on the canvas added some tissue paper let it dry and painted away. I love all the imperfections and creases a little like me!! xoxo
